Strategic Project Manager

BILLA Bulgaria, part of REWE Group, is one of the fastest developing supermarket chains in Europe. Our main purpose is to deliver fresh and high-quality products for our customers!

On this position you will work hand-in-hand with all departments in the company and alongside with the management of BILLA Bulgaria. You will develop and track project milestones and deliverables, identify and manage risks, lead the project management tracking with set-up and follow the timelines. You will work cross-functionally to understand the requirements, timelines, and resourcing for each project, and then execute on those parameters.

YOUR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Manages and monitors the implementation of strategical and dedicated projects;
• Assesses the financial impact of projects and build the business case;
• Proactively oversees and evaluates project activities, builds contingency plans, and executes corrective action to mitigate risks;
• Prepares and moderate workshops and meetings with the project groups;
• Prepares professional presentations, makes analyses and process ad-hoc enquiries;
• Reports the status quo to stakeholders and conduct effective project steering committee meetings;
• Monitors the process for potential issues and escalates as needed to ensure the project schedule is maintained;
• Supports sustainability delivery, working closely with each business area to support the development of plans in line with the strategy and ensure delivery against these;
• Adapts and adjusts plans as required when priorities are changing;
• Controls the full project administration (meetings scheduling, protocols, project documentation, etc.).

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• University degree;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management role, preferably in Retail/ FMCG industries;
• Pro-active attitude with a professional curiosity and eager to learn;
• Good business acumen and understanding of business plans and financial analysis;
• Deep understanding of project management and interest in sustainability issues, including integration of sustainability into business strategy;
• Collaborative approach, engaging others on a vision and gaining buy in to achieve results;
• Excellent problem solving skills with ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing business priorities;
• Proven strategic thinking with an ability to incorporate data and analytics in decision making;
• Fluency in PowerPoint (preferably, including Think Cell) and Excel;
• Excellent language skills in English.
