Senior Software Engineer – Automotive Infotainment (Android Automotive/Kotlin)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on Automotive Cockpit Domain Controller for German OEM. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize infotainment applications. This role requires expertise in Android, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose for UI development.



Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop infotainment applications tailored for automotive systems, focusing on user-centered design, reliability, and performance
- Develop business logic for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Android Auto & CarPlay domains
- Utilize Android and Kotlin to create robust and efficient applications; leverage Jetpack Compose for intuitive and responsive UI designs.
- Architecture and concept design,
- Create and update unit tests of the code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and reliability


Requirements:
  - Degree in computer science, engineering or related subjects
  - 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Android development.
  - Proficiency in Kotlin and experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development.
  - Strong understanding of UI/UX principles specific to automotive applications.
  - Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), unit testing, and code reviews.
  - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  - Automotive experience is a plus


Preferred Qualifications:
  - Experience with Android Automotive OS or similar automotive platforms.
  - Knowledge of Android core applications and services(telephone, message Wi-Fi, USB etc.)
  - C++, Android HAL, Services, Android build system
  - Knowledge of Android multi-user domain
