Assistant Waiter / tress (S25)
Ella Resorts is a unique collection of luxury eco-chic resorts in the wider Mediterranean region, with a portfolio consisting of 5 seaside lifestyle resorts in Rhodes, Corfu and Crete. Each property assimilates and is designed to highlight the unique characteristics of its host location within a carefully selected setting rich in Greek history, culture, and stunning landscapes. In order to support our rapid growth we are seeking to hire Assistant Waiters / tresses.
Position Summary
In cooperation with the Waiter, s/he takes care of the customer's satisfaction in all offered services, which comes from the proper organization of each post s/he has undertaken.
Responsibilities
- She/He is informed and guided by the Waiter or the head of the department for daily tasks
- She/He is responsible for serving the customers following waiter’s directions
- Strictly follows personal grooming & hygiene standards for self and others
- Makes guests feel welcome in the outlet, directs and supervises service
- Interacts and communicates with guests
- Complies with and cooperates with the supervisor, informs her/him of any problems, and offers assistance according to specific needs in her/his or other departments
- Emphasizes on the sequence of service
- Follows “Clean as you go policy” and always keeps work area clean
- Ensures proper hand over to the next shift and logs information’s in detail
- Handles opening/closing checklist and makes sure that appropriate actions are taken to have checklists maintained
Requirements
- Working experience in a similar role at a 5-star hotel
- Degree/Diploma in Tourism is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- A second language (French, German, Russian, or Italian) will be considered as a plus
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Passion for delivering exceptional levels of services
- Negotiation and excellent communication skills
- Pleasant personality, client oriented
