Ship Autopilot Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and improvement of our ship autopilot systems. This role requires a deep understanding of marine navigation, autonomous vessel technology, and product lifecycle management. You will collaborate with engineers, UX designers, and maritime experts to deliver cutting-edge autopilot solutions for modern shipping fleets.

Key Responsibilities
• Define the product roadmap and strategy for ship autopilot systems based on market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements.
• Work closely with engineering, and software development teams to enhance navigation capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, and other maritime safety regulations.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to refine product features.
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and post-launch improvements.
• Collaborate with shipbuilders, fleet operators, and regulatory authorities to ensure successful product adoption.
• Lead product testing, including sea trials and simulations to validate system performance.

Requirements
Must-Have:
• 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in maritime, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Strong knowledge of ship navigation systems, autopilot technologies, and control algorithms.
• Familiarity with marine regulations, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
• Experience working with, sensors (radar, LiDAR, GPS), and real-time data processing.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly features.
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:
• Background in marine engineering, computer science, or robotics.
• Experience working with autonomous vessels, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), or AI-driven navigation.
• Familiarity with marine electronics manufacturers (e.g., Raymarine, Furuno, Simrad, Wärtsilä, ABB, Rolls-Royce).
