VIKING’s Production in Bulgaria began in 2014 in Radinovo, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Currently, we focus on manufacturing marine safety liferafts and evacuation systems. Each product undergoes rigorous verification to meet our VIKING standards throughout the manufacturing process. To enhance our Production Engineering department, we seek a Production Engineer to join us.
This opportunity is ideal for someone experienced in production engineering, interested in the safety industry, and passionate about optimizing processes to support production activities.
Based at our Radinovo plant, Bulgaria, you will report directly to VIKING's Continuous Improvement Program Manager and handle a wide range of responsibilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The daily work has to be carried out in close cooperation and coordination with our colleagues from Production, Engineering departments in Denmark and Thailand. The following tasks and projects can be expected:
· Being the contact person for production issues (products or process related)
· Document and find solutions to non-conformance cases (including updating of BOM, drawings, cut files, routings)
· Navigate and follow the process during the production of 0-series
· Identify, document and de-bug during 0-series assembly
· Training key production employees in connection with working instructions, updated documentation
· Work with continuous improvement (Kaizen, time studies, cost optimization (products or process)
Your profile
The successful candidate has experience on the same or similar position. Clear understanding of quality standards, knowledge of product implementation and root cause analysis are key skills we seek for this role. Furthermore:
· Engineering educational background - university degree
· AutoCAD capabilities and ability to read drawings
· ERP experience - SAP is considered a strong advantage, MS Office advanced user
You will work closely with other departments and colleagues, therefore you are very good at communication and working across the organization. On a personal level, you are responsive and positive, detail oriented, systematic and proactive.
Since our corporate language is English, you have very good English skills – both written and orally.
