Job Description:
- Lead and manage the development team for drives hardware applications, both technically and disciplinarily
- Oversee the full hardware development process, from initial concept and design to prototyping, testing, and production
- Drive product development in line with the Drives roadmap, including managing requirements and product architecture
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as software development, mechanical engineering, product management, purchasing, and production, to ensure the smooth integration and delivery of comprehensive solutions
- Coordinate the localization of products to the Festo Sofia plant
- Manage product change processes for the entire Electric Drive Product Line
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the hardware engineering team, promoting continuous learning and professional growth
- Ensure the adherence to required development processes (e.g., PDP) and safety standards for product development
- Plan the budget, investments, and the ongoing development of team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing hardware development teams, particularly in power electronics for extra low and low voltage applications
- Strong knowledge of power electronics design, including analogy and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and thermal management
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Analytical and structured thinking skills
- Confident in making decisions and taking responsibility for outcomes in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Dedicated to delivering value to both internal and external clients
- Fluent in English
