Manager of Crewing Office
Goldenport Shipmanagement Ltd., a fully integrated and well established ship management and owning company in Greece, comprised of a large fleet of dry cargo and container vessels that are being operated worldwide is looking to expand recruiting operations in Burgas, Bulgaria.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced crew manager to assist in establishing a new recruiting office based in Bulgaria with a focus on quality, commitment and integrity.
The ideal candidate will have a pivotal role in establishing our new office successfully and will be an integral part of ensuring the safety, compliance, and overall success of our recruiting operations in Bulgaria.
Responsibilities:
- Actively lead the recruitment of seafarers for our fleet's open positions as needed.
- Plan crew rotation in collaboration with main office.
- Promote and monitor crew career progression.
- Ensure all crew members are trained and qualified according to company, STCW, and Flag State requirements.
- Handle local travel arrangements, including visa requirements, and pre-employment medicals for all crew members.
- Issue Seafarer Employment Agreements in compliance with MLC, Flag State, and National regulations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the Company's Management System and implement it effectively.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of main office procedures.
- Uphold and maintain our company's safety policy and safety culture.
- Monitor and address company-specific training needs with local maritime training centers.
- Handle daily office administration requirements.
Ideal Profile:
- Experience in Crewing management is a must.
- Higher education (preferably maritime).
- Excellent knowledge of English.
- Communication skills, integrity, and responsibility.
- Adaptability in changing environments
- After office hours flexibility.
