Overhead Lines Worker HV and LV/MV

Needs to Have:

• Experience in Utility Approved Qualified Overhead Lines Worker for 10kv/20kv/LV networks
• Experience in Utility Approved Overhead lines worker for all HV networks systems.

• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
• Drivers License is an advantage

Needs to Do:

• Install, maintain, repair and refurbish high voltage overhead electrical lines and systems.
• A Lines worker works on both transmission and distribution lines that originate from a power plant and extend to individual buildings or homes.
• Ability to climb and work at height (up to 50m) on poles and towers in a safe and professional manner, utilizing Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP's) when required.
• Operate the network to facilitate outages associated with emergency repairs and maintenance of the network.
• Carry out emergency repairs to electrical lines in emergency situations such as lightning, wind, ice storm, or ground disruptions.
• Utilize live working procedures to undertake maintenance and repairs of the network where outages cannot be granted.
• Carry out all works in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, standards, and procedures.
