Payments Risk Associate

We are looking for a person with fluent English, previous experience on a Payments position.
Candidates with background experience of more than 3 years considered with higher priority.
Job Description: As a Payments Risk Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all payment & risk management operations, managing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely settlement of payments, and maintaining efficient back-office operations. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while providing exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct compliance assessments to identify regulatory, policy, and operational risks associated with the marketplace, evaluate their criticality, and recommend an action plan to mitigate such risks.
• Verify payment information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor payment queues and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Handle daily processing of incoming and outgoing payments, including bank transfers, credit card transactions, and digital payments (e-wallets, crypto, and other APMs).
• Liaise with financial institutions and payment service providers to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations and resolve any back-office issues.
• Maintain and update client and transaction records in the CRM and financial databases.
• Reconcile payment transactions and update records in the financial systems.
Job Requirements:
• Excellent English level (C1) is a must – both verbal and written!
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling sensitive user information.
• Basic crypto knowledge.
• Familiarity with legal regulations, particularly in the crypto industry, is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Time management, organizational skills, and multitasking: ability to set priorities and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Requirements:
• Previous experience of 2+ years on a similar role would be a huge advantage.
• Self-motivated and independent, with a proactive approach.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
