Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of TP-Link Bulgaria EOOD, ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Local Financial Reporting, Taxation & Financial Management:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the company's local operations, adhering to Bulgarian accounting standards and regulations.
· Prepare and submit timely and accurate tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax, to ensure compliance with Bulgarian tax laws.
· Collaborate closely with external auditors and tax agents during audit and tax assessment processes, providing necessary documentation and support.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for tax inquiries and correspondence from the National Revenue Agency of Bulgaria (NRA), addressing queries promptly and accurately.
· Proactively identify potential tax risks and opportunities for tax optimization, providing recommendations to management to mitigate risks and maximize financial efficiency.
· Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes, internal controls, and procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
· Review and approve daily payment requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
· Undertake ad hoc financial tasks and projects as assigned by the finance manager, contributing to the overall financial objectives of the company.
2. Group-Level Financial Management:
· Coordinate and support group-wide financial activities, including group audits and tax compliance initiatives.
· Assist in the management of transfer pricing arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with the company's global financial strategies.
Requirements for the candidates:
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree)
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a goods trading/multinational company.
· In-depth knowledge of Bulgarian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
· Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and their application in financial reporting.
· Proficiency in accounting software, preferably SAP or similar ERP systems.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bulgarian.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
· Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
