Technical Development Manager (TDM)
About the Role
The Hydrogen Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Trakia University (TrU) in Stara Zagora, developed under the Horizon Europe-funded H2Start project, is seeking a Technical Development Manager (TDM). This leadership role will involve extensive project management, collaboration with interdisciplinary international teams, and contributing to the growth of the CoE’s infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Support the Scientific Coordinator, Work Package, and Task
- Project Management: Support the Scientific Coordinator, Work Package, and Task Leaders in managing daily activities related to the design, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of the H2Start technological infrastructure. This includes leading a Work Package or Task.
- Document Preparation: Prepare technical documents and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering teams, IT, and data management experts.
- Customer Collaboration: Work closely with customers to align design, technical, and business solution requirements with project goals.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, evaluate technical performance, and ensure objectives are met on time.
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in shaping the CoE’s long-term strategy, including identifying funding opportunities.
- Sustainability & Innovation: Assist in developing the sustainability strategy, focusing on innovation, market adaptation, and scalability.
- Collaboration & Networking: Foster interdisciplinary and international cooperation to strengthen relationships and promote synergies within the CoE.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering, physicochemical sciences, business, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in project/technology management, preferably in the energy sector (industry experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead engineering projects.

Position Start Date
The position is available from March/April 2025 onwards. Alternative start dates may be considered based on mutual agreement.
